Sam Naidu is the Founder and Principal practitioner at Horsewisdom. Sam has worked for a number of well-known organisations supporting individuals, families & children with a variety of needs and in diverse settings including Mental Health, Homelessness, Substance Abuse, Family Support & Youth Work. Sam has been a social worker for 22 years during which time she has been a Manager, developing & implementing programs to support and encourage individuals, children and families to thrive when life gets tough. She has supported her practice by studying Art Therapy, Professional Supervision, Trauma Informed Practice and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Sam started riding at 6 and got her first pony at 8. She has been around horses ever since and has experience in a number of riding & training techniques. Over the last decade Sam has realised and explored the potential of people spending time with horses – in a holistic way – one that empowers them and encourages partnership and friendship between them.

Sam is also an experienced meditation Practitioner, having studied Hinduism and Buddhism for many years. Sam has been running personal development and empowerment groups for 16 years. She has also trained in a number of healing modalities and is able to co-facilitate meditation and healing with the horses.
